Carmen Electra, an actress as well as an American Glamour Model, a television personality, a dancer and a singer was born on April 20 1972 in Sharonville, Ohio, United States Of America. Her actual name is Tara Leigh Patrick and she is professionally known as Carmen Electra. Her father Harry Patrick was is an entertainer and a guitarist and her mother, Patricia was a singer. Carmen Electra lost her mother in the year 1998 as she was suffering from brain tumor. She had an older sister, Debbie, who died in the year 1998 due to a heart attack. Carmen Electra graduated from Princeton High School in Sharonville. Carmen Electra has three ancestries such as Irish, German and Cherokee. In 191 Carmen Electra moved to California where she got acquainted with Prince who persuaded her to change her name from Tara Leigh Patrick to Carmen Electra.
Carmen Electra signed a recording contract with Prince’s company Paisley Park Records soon after this meeting and started her short lived singing career. In 1995 Carmen Electra first appeared on the television. In May 1996, her nude photograph was featured in the Playboy Magazine. This was the first of several other issues. This led to her appearance in the famous daily soap Baywatch in 1997-1998 and MTV’s Singled Out. Carmen Electra even returned to Baywatch in 2003 for the reunion movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. Carmen Electra became very famous after her first pictorial appearance in the playboy magazine. This is the reason for which she featured three more times in the magazine. Her second feature was on June 1997. This gorgeous actress appeared on the cover page of the magazine twice again on December 2000 and April 2003. For the first time in the history of Playboy Cyber Club a woman was invited to be the celebrity guest photographer and Carmen Electra took this opportunity to choose Jennifer Walcott as her role model.
Her career in the films started with her first appearance in Good Burger(1997) and American Vampire Story (1997) which was followed by a number of movies such as The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human (1999), the Scary Movie (2000). Few other movies in between were Starstruck (1998), The Chosen One: Legend of the Raven (1998), The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human (1999) and Christmas Vacation 2000 (1999). Other movies in which she has acted are Sol Goode (2001), Perfume (2001), Get Over It (2001), Rent Control (2002), Whacked! Carmen Electra featured in the music video “The Inevitable Return of the Great White Dope” by Bloodhound Gang in the year 1999. She has also lent her voice for the android “Six” in the animated series Tripping the Rift in 2005. This year she also started the Naked Women's Wrestling League, for the promotion of professional wrestling. She acted upon as the commissioner in this league. At the end of 2006 she was even seen in the commercials of Taco Bell. Currently she appears in the television and print ads of Ritz Camera Centers with their CEO David Ritz. She is their spokes model. She is also the spokes person of Payment Data Systems, Inc and Cameron Electra has her own line of prepaid and gift Master cards. Carmen Electra will also be a competitor on NBC’s Celebrity version of The Apprentice which will begin in the early 2008. She also appears as a playable character in the video game Def Jam: Fight for New York. She is also a celebrity challenger in the video game ESPN NFL 2K5. She has also featured in the commercials of Maxim Men’s hair colour product in 2004-2005. Carmen Electra has performed songs like Fun, Go Go Dancer, Everybody Get on Up, Fantasia Erotica, 2-4-6-8 (Playboy's Cheerleaders film contains a music video of the song).
Carmen Electra had a short term relationship with the rock star Prince. During 1995-1998 she was involved with rap star B-Real of Cypress. Carmen Electra got married to the basketball star 1998-1999 at Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada. She got divorced and had a short lived affair with the ex husband of Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee. Electra married Dave Navarro on November 22 2003 who was the lead guitarist in bands like Jane's Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers. They got judicially separated on February 20, 2007.
